The Pipo Chair embodies a wooden surface that seamlessly integrates armchairs and a seat made from the same material. The objective is to fashion a unified piece from a single material that extends outward and extends inwards towards the center. Transparent armchairs allow light to flow through, evoking a graceful motion. Our primary aim for this piece was to utilize technology to create a chair while being mindful of material usage. The chair is comprised of two layers of plywood and is constructed with 37 main curved sections that are overlapped in two or three pieces, making it highly efficient in material utilization. Features a water-based coating.
